Launched in October 2006, the Public Service Excellence Award (PSEA) Scheme will on a yearly basis, honour and recognise Ministries/Departments or Units/Divisions that have excelled in adopting innovative management approaches and made visible breakthrough in service delivery. Its main objective is to promote a performance-oriented, responsive, customer-friendly and accountable public service.
The PSEA’s structure and processes were changed in 2018. Now, the participating organisations are requested to submit a well-defined Best Practice that has contributed to make substantial changes/improvements in management practices inspired by a combination of any of the ten pillars of the Public Sector Business Transformation Strategy.
The ten pillars are:

3. Innovation and Acceleration
4. Digital Transformation
5. Smart Process
6. Strong Governance and Institutional arrangements
7. Performance
8. Capacity Building and Capability Development
9. Implementation
10. Customer Satisfaction: The Bottom line | The best three submissions will receive the Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards in order of merit.
